Simpsons Review

Created By: Matt Groening.
Starring: (the voices of) Dan Castellaneta, Julie Kavner, Nancy Cartwright, Yeardley Smith, Hank Azaria, Harry Shearer, Tress MacNeille, Pamela Hayden, Marcia Wallace, Phil Hartman.

Synopsis: Where the hell have you been? Having a cow? If you don't know by now that the Simpsons is the longest running animated series (and with good reason) full of social commentary and blatant stupidity...sometimes the two run hand in hand too easily, then you have been vacationing in Mars and should buy every single box set and watch these episodes over andover until you know them by rote!

Box Set One Includes the entire first season with the following episodes: Simpsons Roasting On An Open Fire, Bart The Genius, Homer's Odyssey, There's No Disgrace Like Home, Bart The General, Moaning Lisa , Call Of The Simpsons, The Telltale Head, Life On The Fast Lane, Homer's Night Out, The Crepes Of Wrath, Krusty Gets Busted, Some Enchanted Evening.

Box Set Two Includes the entire second season with the following special features: Audio commentary for each episode, an interview with Matt Groening as well as a featurette on the making of an episode. If it is anywhere as good as the first box set, then it is a must own...wait until season 4-6 when they really hit their stride...ohhhhhh...so many Simpsons DVDs...mmmmmmm.

Sure, these episodes are dated, but the commentaries provide some great insight to how these episodes are created as well as pointing out even more trivial things you would never have noticed. Also, the outtakes, the glitchy animation segments are hysterical...showing Marge looking frog-like to Homer becoming Fred Flintstone briefly in the Season One Box Set.
