Born Kathryn Bridget Moynahan September 21, 1972 in Binghamton, New York. She spent her childhood growing up in Long Meadow, MA with her two brothers Andy (older) and Sean (younger). Her father Brad is an administrator at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst.
As a child she had an affinity for soccer and although as she grew older she gave up running on the green for striding across a catwalk. She soon found herself modeling on the covers of such magazines as Glamour and Vogue.
More recently she can be seen opposite Colin Farrell and Al Pacino in The Recruit. After The Recruit she began shooting on the sci-fi film I, Robot (based on the Isaac Asimov books) alongside Will Smith and the comedy/romance Hating Her with Johnny Knoxville and Selma Blair.
