Born in Gold Beach, Oregon on September 25, 1973 where she grew up with her parents and sister, Tracy. Now, this may seem inconsequential to you, but having done a slew of these bio's you start to see trends. One trend is acting as a child in commercials and following it through to the feature films. Another is pop-singers and a third is models. Bridgette is of the latter group.
In 1990 she won a Miss Teen USA contest. Within the next year she was in Los Angeles taking acting classes. By 1991 she had landed a role on the soap, Santa Barbara playing Lisa Fenimore Castillo. With a credit on her resume she landed an audition, and eventually a role in Arnold Schwarzenneger's Last Action Hero. While the film tanked it was her feature film debut and she made it playing Arnold Schwarzeneggers's daughter, no small achievement that.
Having an A-List movie credit as a backing opens up the door to a few more auditions and she soon found herself on set with Kristy Swanson, Omar Epps and Michael Rappaport in Higher Learning...if by soon you can understand the idea of two years being soon. That same year, 1995 if you're keeping track, she also landed her first lead role, opposite Adam Sandler in Billy Madison.
Despite showing a flair for comedy Wilson was soon hitting the rounds of the horror realm craze of the mid to late 90's. She appeared in Sweet Evil, I Know What You Did Last Summer, The House on Haunted Hill and Nixon...okay, so the last one isn't a horror film though there are some that would attest otherwise.
Not content with 'just acting' which I think most people should be content with...but they never are...so Bridgette branched out into singing/songwriting. Currently she has recorded two CD's ("Gimme a Kiss" and "I Only want to be With You.")
In 2001 Bridgette made a return to both comedy and action flicks with Just Visiting and The Wedding Planner covering the comedy side and Extreme Ops requiring the heavy chops for action. Also new in the millennium was the addition of Sampras to her name. In September of 2000 she married Tennis star Pete Sampras and has been credited as Bridgette Wilson-Sampras since.
