||Born Lacey Nicole Chabert on September 30, 1982 in Purvis, Mississippi Lacey is set to be one of those child actors who make the cross over and have a long career in the world of the thespian. Don't believe me...well, first, your wrong and second...get this;
Lacey began performing at an early age in small dramatic and musical productions in and around Mississippi before going on to become a finalist (at the age of 9) in Star Search 1991. Commercial work was steady until she received her first break, landing the major role of young Cosette on the Broadway production of Les Miserables, a role she played for two years.
She then landed a role in the Bette Midler TV remake of the classic Gypsy which was almost as well received as the original. Chabert went on to voice a steady stream of animated shows while landing the role that would have her become known nationwide, that of Claudia Salinger on Party of Five.
The show was a huge critical success but the audiences became fickle and in the last two seasons, the fans began to become outraged at the turn of the storylines and weakly devised plot developments. Chabert and the rest of the cast began to move on. She appeared in the huge smash Lost In Space and continued doing voices for other films like Anastasia and Nickelodeon's Wild Thornberries.
More recently she spoofed her ex-Party of Five co-star Jennifer Love Hewitt in Not Another Teen Movie while starring in Hometown Legend and The Scoundrel's Wife.
