She was born April 23, 1979 making her 23 as of this writing. Young but not overly young in Hollywood's eyes. She hails from Omaha, Nebraska...almost a whole world away from the glitz and glamour of Hollywood. However, a slight note of pop-culture emerges early on when you find out she was named Jamie after Lindsay Wagner's character Jaime Sommers in the 70s TV show "The Bionic Woman".

So how does this lady just bust onto the Hollywood scene two years ago and churn out seven films some of which star names like Ben Affleck, Chow Yun Fat and Johnny Depp? Well, her looks don't hurt...they got her on the cover of a lot of magazines and brought her the big bucks.

But that part about her looks not hurting...well, here's the double edged sword...her looks also brought her fame and love...which sounds pretty good. But it also, as seems to be the rule of the young with money...brings heroin. An admitted heroin addict she went clean and sober after her boyfriend/fashion photographer David Sorrenti OD'd on the drug.

In 2001 she landed her first major film role, a large one considering her experience where she played a seductive and very sexually agressive counsellor named Pixel. This was followed up by some smaller roles in bigger films like Blow, Pearl Harbor.

As she filled out her resume her roles have gone back to matching the size of her feature film debut. With Slackers she played a real girl next door type and carried the lead throughout. She will soon be back on the big screen in 2003 with the big kick ass action flick Bulletproof Monk with Chow Yun Fat and Seann William Scott.
