When you start your career you may not always be sure where you will end up and how you may achieve success. You can bet your bottom dollar that Jan Miner (Born October 15, 1917 in Boston, Massachusetts) did not expect to become known as Madge, the Palmolive 'You're soaking in it' woman, a character she would play for 27 years.
Aside from her longstanding stint with Palmolive, Miner co-starred on the syndicated radio show 'Boston Blackie' playing as Mary Wesley from 1945-1949. Other work included acting at the American Shakespeare Festival in Stratford along with a lot of television work with such shows as One Day At A Time, Naked City and more recently (at least by 1990) Law & Order.
