Synopsis: An odd but engrossing sci-fi flick that has, as its lead, a murderer as the hero.
A ship carrying passengers towards a new life, and a prisoner heading towards a new cell crash land on a desolate planet. As long as their is light they are safe, but man, when the darkness comes, so do the creatures that feed. So successful a launching pad for Vin Diesel that they are now wrapping a series of films called The Riddick Chronicles around his character.
